The Demonstrator consists of a light chain whose ends are connected together to form a loop, and a disk with a peripheral groove to hold the chain and a central axle that allows the disk to be mounted in the chuck of an electric drill (not included). To demonstrate centripetal force, start at one end of an empty hallway. Fit the chain into the groove on the disk and accelerate it to a high angular velocity in a vertical plane with the electric drill. From a few inches above the floor, the chain is released from the disk and races along the hallway, maintaining its circular shape, to collapse in a heap at the end. Requires electric drill. With instruction sheet.
