Use this coil to observe static magnetic fields generated by a constant flowing current. Results are visualized by the disposition of iron filings. A coil of wire through which a current can be passed is mounted on a plastic base, and surrounds a plastic sheet on which iron fillings can be placed. There are 94 turns in the circular coil. Includes 48.5m of 1mm diameter copper wire. Requires, but does not include, a low tension power supply to induce current. Size: 30 x 20 x 20cm, weight: 1.2kg.
