This unique apparatus graphically demonstrates elastic collisions better than any other device, because of its sheer size and the complete absence of friction. The new, updated design features a scale printed on the base for quantitative experiments. It is also ideal for using with Pasco probeware and video. Its legs support an iron frame from which six steel balls, 35mm in diameter, hang from individual bifilar suspensions. Each suspension can be individually adjusted. Pull one, two or any number of balls back and let your students make the interpretations. If you want fewer than six, place the extras in the depressions on the iron frame without removing them from the apparatus. Includes complete instructions. Size completely assembled: 30cm W x 31cm D x 32cm H.
