We supply everything you will need to determine the coefficients of friction by two methods using a horizontal force and the angle of repose. The formed metal plane, 61 x 7.5 x 1.3cm, provides a uniform surface on which to work and will take a 10mm horizontal support rod through holes drilled near one end. The kit furnishes two small metal pans each with a hook at one end; the underside of one is lined with Teflon® and the other with rubber. Also included are five 200g hooked weights, a 4.5N spring scale and complete instructions. You will also need a support stand and clamp.
