This simple device beautifully illustrates the conversion of potential energy into linear and rotational kinetic energy, and back again. Balls of different materials, two metal and one plastic, are rolled down the metal track. The track has been formed into two inclines of unequal length and mounted on a 1.5 meter base. Although the inclines have different lengths and slopes, their highest points are at equal elevations. Includes complete instructions with suggested experiments.
