Demonstration Electric Meters |
Large Analog Meters Have Reversible Scales And Switch-Selected Units IndicatorsLarge, lightweight meters, ideal for classroom demonstrations. The clearly-visible scales occupy half the visible area of the instruments. To avoid confusion, the scale plate is printed on both sides and is easily reversed, giving only two ranges per scale. A rotary switch on the back to select the measuring range simultaneously changes the measuring units in a window on the front. A zero-adjust knob on the rear shifts the zero point for galvanometer work. The accuracy of the readings is ±2.5% f.s.d. and the internal resistance of the meter is 49Ù as a galvanometer and 1000Ù/V on the voltage ranges. A pair of test leads and manual are supplied. Meter case measures 28 x 11.5 x 30cm.Available in Two Versions:The Volts/Ohms/Galvanometer Version has the following ranges:DCV: 1V, 2.5V, 5V, 10V, 25V, 50V, 100V, 150V, 250V; ACV: 10V, 50V, 250V;Ohms: 1Ù - 100Ù, 10Ù - 1kÙ, 100Ù - 10kÙ, 1kÙ - 100kÙ; Galvanometer: -500 – 0 – +500 divisions, 1 A/division.Requires a D-size battery, sold separately. The Volts/Amps/Galvanometer Version has the following ranges:DCV: 5V, 10V; ACV: 10V, 50V, 250V; DCA: 10mA, 100mA, 1A, 5A; ACA: 1A,5A, Galvanometer: -500 – 0 – +500 divisions, 1ìA/division.

 - Sunday, October 17, 2010 Associate Professor Reviewed By: Richard (Altoona, PA) I bought this as a galvanometer for using with a coil and magnet. As such it is useless, unless you have a really good coil (not the ones sold by the usual players), or a very strong magnet (again not one that you would usually use for this demonstration). They need to bring back the old versions made by the former company.
