Ideal for an investigation lab, this density cylinder set consists of twelve different half-inch diameter specimens of varying lengths and materials, all supplied in an attractive wood storage block that is protected from the wet specimens by a linseed oil coating. The set includes cylinders of aluminum, brass, copper, Pyrex glass, hard rubber, Delrin, PVC, acrylic, Teflon, and Nylon plastics, and poplar and oak wood. Set of 12.

They don't get perfect results, but they get very close. It's a good activity to talk about accuracy of measurements as well as density.  - Thursday, March 10, 2011 Stupidest Thing Ever Reviewed By: Marde (Newtown, CT) This kit sounded like a great thing for my students, but it was not. The chance of error was way too large and it was way too hard for them to identify the cylinders. I am NEVER going to use this again and suggest that plan of action to anyone with a brain in their head.
