Determine the specific gravity of a material by graphical methods using this set of four samples. The samples are constructed of eight different materials, arranged in a binary weighting sequence, with each weight double that of its predecessor. This arrangment allows for 15 individual determinations of specific gravity to be made. These results are then plotted on a graph, the slope of which is the specific gravity of the material. Samples measure 1 1/2", 3", 6", and 1' long, respectively.
