A high-quality device for your heat experiments, use this calorimeter for determining the electrical equivalent of heat or specific heat of liquids. This electric version of the Double-Wall Calorimeter has a heating coil of about 5W mounted in its molded cover. Standard binding posts let you make connections to your power supply, ammeter and voltmeter. The supporting posts and coil, also attached to the cover, are coated to prevent electrolysis. When you connect the calorimeter to a 6V battery, it causes a temperature rise of about 15°C in 10 minutes. Includes a stirrer with an insulated handle, a single-hole rubber stopper, an outer calorimeter with 900ml capacity and an inner calorimeter with 250ml capacity. Requires a multimeter.
