Ideal for a wide variety of experimental situations, a knob on top of the stopper accepts a charge. When the charge enters the flask, the aluminum leaves separate. How much the leaves separate depends on the size of the charge. There’s no easier way to teach or observe this phenomenon. The electroscope consists of a 250ml Pyrex flask with a nickel-plated rod attached to a rubber stopper.
