In addition to the coils, you get an instruction pamphlet that relates to Ampere's Rule and gives complete directions for experiments on magnetic induction, primary and secondary coil transformers, the effect of current direction and distance on magnetic lines of force, and the effect of electromagnetic polarity between two coils.
Consists of two copper wire coils mounted in plastic saddle blocks and five soft iron bars. The two wire coils are constructed so they can be stood on end vertically.
The coils have an inner diameter of 1.5cm, an outer diameter of 4.5cm, and a thickness of 2cm.
Requires a 6V dry cell battery and Iron Filings not included.
