Hooke’s Law Apparatus |
Ideal for verifying Hooke’s Law — that the elongation of the spring is directly proportional to the force applied — this apparatus is sturdily constructed to stand up to years of classroom use. Includes a precise mirror scale, which eliminates the errors in measurement caused by parallax. The 3cm spring lengthens 2 to 3cm for each Newton of force applied. Unit stands 33.5cm high. Requires slotted masses, available separately; five 0.5N masses are suggested.

 - Thursday, September 01, 2011 HookesLawApp Reviewed By: John (Coraopolis, PA) The base is a poor substitute for the one pictured in the catalog. The base is just a rectangle of very light weight plastic, not the cast metal base shown.
