This design produces clean, easily analyzed wave patterns with minimal reflections. Its sturdy all metal and glass construction guarantees many years of service. The basic tank is a 6mm x 56cm distortion-free piece of plate glass sealed into a steel rim with a rubber gasket. With the tank, we include our Digital Electronic Wave Generator and our unique High Intensity Light Source that is both a point source and a line source. We also include four flexible lead strips to make barriers of any shape for the study of reflections and four blue tinted acrylic shoals, for studying refraction. The adjustable legs permit the entire tank to be lowered directly over any overhead projector and they can be removed for compact storage. The Light Source requires 115 VAC power and Wave Generator requires 6 VDC. The tank comes complete with instructions. Use a level for set-up; our Bull's Eye Level works well.
