Uses Modulation Techniques to Measure the Speed of Light and to Transmit SignalsA high frequency signal can be modulated onto a laser beam to measure the speed of light by comparing the phase of a signal carried a large measured distance by the laser beam with the phase of an initially identical signal which has traveled only a short distance. This set contains an electronic control box that generates a 1MHz signal for modulating the laser beam and a two-channel photosensitive receiver for detecting the two signals. Also included are the necessary mirrors, lenses and beam splitter. You need to supply a modulated laser and an oscilloscope. For the transmission of audio information, a high impedance microphone and a loudspeaker are also included. To demonstrate transmission of black & white video signals, you will need to supply a video camera and a monitor. Includes full instruction manual.
