Students will be intrigued to see and feel the effect of differing mass distributions in two otherwise equal bodies.The kit includes two 15cm diameter metal rings each of 265g mass; one has a solid rod mounted across its diameter and the other has a thin metal rod with two adjustable masses.
Depending on the positions of the adjustable masses, the second ring rolls down a slope faster or slower than the first ring. Also included are two batons of equal mass (450g) and length (56cm) mounted on handles. One baton is a uniform rod and the other carries an adjustable mass. Depending on the position of the mass, the adjustable baton may feel harder or easier to swing than the other. Additional rings are available separately.
