Optics Module 1 — Ray Box |
It includes a 12 volt quartz-halogen light box (you will need a 12V AC or DC power source) and features collimating lens at one end to project light along the table surface. At the other end, is a centered 2cm aperture suitable for use on the light bench in our Optics 2 Module. In addition, the kit includes three apertures with single, double, triple and quintuple slits and a solid diaphragm. We also include 3 lenses, 2 plano-convex and one plano-concave; an adjustable concave/convex mirror and a plane mirror; 3 prisms, a right angle, a trapezoid and a semicircle; plus a hollow plastic tank, a 14.5cm square white screen, and a 20cm diameter white optical disk. The module also includes an illustrated 74-page manual with 31 different ray box experiments covering mirrors, refraction, lenses, color, the propagation of light and the eye.
