Ideal for Experimentation with Electronics, Sound, Resonance, and Interference PatternsThis spacesaving instrument combines a signal generator, amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, and amplifier into one conveniently sized device. The signal generator measures sine, square, triangular, and TTL waveforms with a frequency range 0.1Hz to 100kHz in six decades. Distortion is less than 0.5% at 1kHz sine wave with an accuracy 2% over 10Hz. Waveform is selected by the simple press of a switch until the appropriate LED indicates your selection. The basic waveform can be modulated by an external signal to demonstrate resonance, beats, and encoding of carrier waves in communications. Either the amplitude or frequency of the carrier waveform can be modulated. The amplifier portion of this device can be used for signal generator output or external inputs. Power output is up to 5W. The low impedence output is protected and allows current up to 1A to be drawn by low resistance leads. This output may be short-circuited at any frequency without the risk of damage. Sound level changes in response to amplitude control. It also includes a built-in speaker with on/off controls for audio frequencies. Size: 175 x 190 x 341 mm.
