Launcher uses 25mm drilled balls and clamps to a table top. A built-in protractor measures the launch angle, and the launch force can be varied by changing spring tension.
Launch mechanism provides reproducible trajectories, typically less than 1cm apart because the ball has no spin when launched and the launcher has little or no recoil.
All working parts of launcher are completely visible. When used with the Digital Timer, available separately, the initial velocity of the ball can be measured, including both horizontal and vertical components of the velocity. Use one or two photogates with launcher.
Included are two steel balls, and complete instructions for four experiments on angle and range.
