 - Wednesday, August 25, 2010 testing "full spectrum" lights Reviewed By: Eric (Quincy, Indiana) Used these spectroscopes while teaching chemistry labs. My students would dip wire into salt solutions, heat in a bunson burner, measure the light frequency and determine which salt they had.
At home, I use one to see if alleged "full spectrum" lights are truly full spectrum. The spectrasope is a real champ determining what the actual light output is.
