A vast improvement over traditional models, this air column resonance apparatus does not utilize any cumbersome moving reservoirs.
Instead, the water level in this column is adjusted by air pressure in a fixed, closed reservoir using a pipette filler with a three-way valve system, which gives students precise control of the water level.
An extruded support holds the water column firmly in place and carries a built-in scale and level marker for convenient column length measurements. The column length of 120 cm allows at least three resonance maxima to be observed with a 256 Hz excitation frequency, and more if higher frequencies are used.
An optional probe bracket allows a microphone to be positioned close to the tube mouth for measurements using probeware.
Includes an easily adjustable tuning fork bracket.
