This low friction three-track spark tape timer features a fully enclosed spark system. The economical apparatus delivers 60 Hz sparks and features a straight, unobstructed paper path for low friction to yield better experiment results. The wide paper path allows up to three consecutive traces to be recorded on a standard 5/8″ wide wax-coated spark tape, using the adjustable paper guide. The spark records have clear, precise marks with a very low dropout rate for accurate experimentation. Safety features include a fixed, fully enclosed spark system, pushbutton activation of the recording spark signals, and an internal overload fuse that cannot be accessed from outside without tools.
