A small scale demonstration of renewable energy, this wind generator can be used with a voltmeter or datalogger to measure and monitor output.
It can also be used to illuminate an LED and illustrate the conversion of energy. Its low-inertia electric motor functions as a generator and is driven by a plastic impeller.
A cold air blower can be used to turn the impeller resulting in a low voltage d.c. output at the two 4 mm sockets.
